The Opportunity n

ROUSSOS Recruitment is partnering with a well-regarded South Australian civil contractor that is adding to its estimating team on the back of significant recent project wins.

n

Our client self-performs a broad range of civil and associated works, delivering projects for both public and private sector clients across a variety of industries.

n

The Role n

Working closely with senior estimators and reporting to the head of the estimating function, you will be involved in tenders from first review through to handover.

n

Your responsibilities will include:

n

- Interpreting drawings, specifications and tender documents
n
- Completing quantity take-offs and building up accurate estimates and cost plans
n




- Sourcing and evaluating quotes from subcontractors and suppliers
n
- Identifying project risks, opportunities and key requirements
n
- Contributing to methodology and material selection decisions
n
- Compiling tender submissions and pre-qualification documents
n
- Working with project teams, suppliers and subcontractors throughout the tender process
n
- Assisting with the handover of successful tenders to the delivery team
n

You are an estimator with a few years of civil construction experience behind you, looking for a business where you can keep learning and take on more over time.

You will ideally have:

n

n
- Previous estimating experience with a civil contractor
n
- A tertiary qualification in engineering, construction management or a related discipline
n
- Knowledge of the South Australian construction market
n
- Solid take-off and tendering skills
n
- A strong head for numbers and attention to detail
n
- Confident communication skills and the ability to build valuable working relationships
n
- A proactive, team-oriented approach
n
