Property Claims Consultant n

South-East Melbourne | $80,000–$120,000 + Super + Bonus

An established and highly regarded insurance brokerage is looking for an experienced Property Claims Consultant to join its team in Melbourne’s south‑east.

The Role

n

n
- Managing a mixed portfolio which will be predominantly made up of property claims from notification through to settlement
n
- Handling commercial claims across a range of client risks
n
- Liaising with clients, brokers, insurers, loss adjusters, builders and other claims stakeholders
n
- Assessing claims, reviewing policy coverage and monitoring progress
n
- Coordinating repairs, assessments, reports and settlement processes
n
- Negotiating with insurers and service providers where required
n
- Keeping clients and brokers updated throughout the claims process
n
- Identifying and resolving issues to ensure claims progress efficiently
n
- Maintaining accurate claims records and providing a high level of service
n
- Working closely with the broader broking team to support positive client outcomes
n

About You nn
- Proven Property Claims experience within an insurance brokerage or agency is essential
n
- Strong understanding of commercial property insurance and claims processes
n




- Experience managing claims from notification through to settlement
n
- Confident dealing with insurers, loss adjusters, clients and other stakeholders
n
- Solid communication and negotiation skills
n
- Ability to manage a portfolio independently and prioritise competing claims
n
- Strong attention to detail and a solutions‑focused approach
n
- Qualified, proactive and client‑focused manner
n
