About the role

Our client is seeking a motivated Junior Criminal Lawyer to join their dynamic team. In this full-time role, you will gain hands-on experience in the criminal law field, working closely with senior lawyers on court matters and litigation. Your responsibilities will include representing clients in court and before tribunals, conducting thorough legal research, instructing Counsel, and providing sound legal advice.

Key qualifications

- A law degree and admission to practice as a solicitor in Queensland.




- Solid knowledge of criminal law, court procedures, and litigation processes.
- Proficiency in conducting legal research, drafting legal documents, and delivering legal advice both in writing and verbally.
- Excellent organisational skills with a keen attention to detail and the ability to manage time effectively.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Capability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team, while maintaining and building client relationships.
- High emotional intelligence and strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
- A proactive attitude towards learning and professional development.
- Previous experience or internships in a criminal law setting are advantageous.
