We’re looking for three motivated Fire Protection Technicians to join our expanding team across Sydney and the Central Coast.

Prior experience as a Fire Technician—or holding / actively studying towards a Certificate II or Certificate III in Fire Protection—is highly advantageous and will put you at the top of our list. If you already have industry background, you’ll hit the ground running with a team that backs you all the way.

We are also open to outstanding candidates from complementary mechanical or building trades who possess the right mindset, mechanical aptitude, and a strong drive to transition into fire safety. For dedicated candidates, we provide structured on-the-job training, mentoring, and support to advance your qualifications and help you become an industry-leading technician.

Whether you’re based in Sydney or on the Central Coast, we’ll base you from the location that best suits you while providing opportunities to service clients across both regions.

What’s In It for You

- Salary: $75,000–$85,000 + Super (commensurate with fire industry experience and qualifications)

- Fully maintained company vehicle, fuel card, and E-Toll provided

- $2,000 Sign-On Bonus (payable after 12 months)

- $5,000 Loyalty Bonus (payable after 5 years)

- Clear career progression with pathways into Dry Fire Systems, Wet Fire Systems, Passive Fire, Technical Specialist, or Leadership roles

- Ongoing training & certification support to help you complete or expand your fire industry qualifications

The Opportunity

As one of NSW’s fastest-growing fire protection companies, we are looking for technicians who take pride in compliance and safety excellence.

Our ideal candidate brings hands‑on experience in fire protection testing and maintenance, or is currently working toward/holds formal qualifications (Cert II or Cert III in Fire Protection).

You’ll work across commercial, industrial, and government facilities, inspecting, testing, maintaining, and replacing portable fire equipment in strict accordance with AS 1851.

This role offers autonomy to run your run efficiently, build strong client relationships, and become part of an established company that actively invests in your professional development.

What You’ll Do

- Inspect, test, and maintain portable fire protection equipment in accordance with AS 1851.

- Service and replace fire extinguishers, fire hose reels, fire blankets, and associated systems.

- Accurately identify system defects, recommend corrective solutions, and assist with quotation details.

- Complete digital service reports, asset logs, compliance records, and site photos using our mobile field software.

- Plan and manage your daily route efficiently while delivering prompt, skilled customer service.





- Build strong rapport with facility managers and site contacts as a trusted representative of Redmen Fire Protection.

- Collaborate closely with our scheduling and operations teams to keep client sites fully compliant.

- Maintain company vehicles, testing gear, and tools to a clean, professional standard.

What You’ll Bring

- Fire Protection Experience (Highly Advantageous): Proven background servicing portable fire equipment to AS 1851 standards.

- Relevant Qualifications (Highly Advantageous): Completion of, or current active enrolment in, Certificate II or Certificate III in Fire Protection (e.g., Fire Protection Equipment Inspection and Testing).

- Trade Background: Candidates without fire experience will be considered if they have a proven mechanical, electrical, plumbing, or building maintenance background paired with strong mechanical aptitude.

- Licence & Working Rights: Current Australian Driver Licence and Australian citizenship, permanent residency, or unrestricted Australian working rights.

- Customer Focus: Strong communication skills, professional presentation, and pride in delivering top-tier service.

- Work Ethic: Reliable, self-motivated to work autonomously on the road, with a sharp eye for detail and compliance.

- Location: Based in Sydney or the Central Coast, with flexibility to service designated regional runs.
