Position Title: Clinical Nurse Educator - COMPASS Program
Classification: RN35
Salary per hour (exc. super): $64.83
Hours per fortnight: 64
Employment Status: Fixed Term Part Time until December 2027

An exciting fixed-term prospect is available for a Clinical Nurse Educator to run COMPASS - Clinical Orientation, Mentorship, Preceptorship and Structured Support - a transition-to-practice pilot supporting newly registered nurses at Bendigo Health.

n

Working within Nursing & Midwifery Education,



the COMPASS Program CNE will lead the implementation and day-to-day delivery of a structured, team-based preceptorship model designed to strengthen graduate transition, clinical capability, confidence and increasing independence across the first 12 months of practice.

n

A key focus of the role will be developing and supporting Senior Clinical Preceptors and Near-Peer Clinical Preceptors, undertaking structured graduate check-ins, supporting early identification and escalation of concerns, partnering with clinical areas to operationalise the model, and monitoring whether planned support is being delivered as intended.
