Traction Ag is seeking an experienced Service Manager to join our team in Horsham, VIC. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in managing our service operations and ensuring customer satisfaction. As Service Manager, you will oversee all aspects of machinery servicing, maintenance and repairs, whilst leading a dedicated team of technicians. This position is essential to maintaining Traction Ag's reputation for excellence in the agricultural industry and directly impacts our operational efficiency and customer retention.

Key responsibilities

Manage and oversee all service operations, including scheduling, workload planning and resource allocation

Supervise and mentor service technicians, providing guidance, training and performance management

Ensure all vehicles are serviced to the highest standards and in compliance with manufacturer specifications

Coordinate with customers to understand their service requirements and provide quotations

Monitor service quality, equipment maintenance and workshop safety standards

Track service metrics, including turnaround times, customer satisfaction and revenue targets

Manage warranty claims and liaise with manufacturers and suppliers as needed

Maintain accurate service records and documentation for all work completed

Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost efficiencies within the service department

Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to encourage repeat business

What we're looking for

Experience in a similar service management role within the agricultural or automotive equipment industry

Strong technical knowledge and hands-on experience in the maintenance and repair of agricultural machinery and equipment





Demonstrated leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop staff

Excellent customer service and communication skills

Proficiency in workshop management systems and service scheduling software

Sound understanding of health and safety regulations relevant to automotive workshops

Strong organisational and time management abilities

Problem-solving skills and the ability to handle customer complaints professionally

Current driver's licence (essential for this role)

Relevant trade qualifications or certifications in automotive or agricultural mechanics (desirable)
