Torc Tight is a fast-growing mining services business specialising in hydraulic, torque and heavy tooling support across mine sites and industrial operations.
We’re looking for two mechanically minded Field Technicians who prefer working onsite, solving real problems, and getting hands‑on with equipment.
This is not a laboratory role.
This is site-based mechanical work across shutdowns and operational mine environments.
No prior calibration experience required - we will train the right person.
The Role
You will work across mine sites and heavy industrial workshops to:
- Inspect, test and service hydraulic and pneumatic tooling
- Perform torque tool testing and compliance checks
- Fault-find and repair mechanical equipment
- Support shutdowns and site maintenance teams
- Travel interstate as required
- Represent Torc Tight professionally onsite
During your initial probation period, you’ll work alongside our team to build capability. Following successful completion, you’ll operate from one of our mobile service trucks on a structured 16-day roster per 30-day cycle.
Who This Role Suits
This role suits someone who:
- Is willing to travel and work away
- Has hands‑on mechanical experience (fitting, servicing, maintenance, heavy industry, shutdowns)
- Is comfortable working independently onsite
- Can communicate confidently with site supervisors
- Previous experience working on Australian mine sites highly regarded.
- Trade qualification is beneficial but not essential.
Mandatory Requirements
- Practical mechanical experience in mining or heavy industry environments
- HR truck licence (or ability to obtain)
- Ability to pass site medicals and D&A; testing
- Full Australian working rights
What We Offer
- Hourly rate during onboarding, progressing to salaried rostered position upon 3-6 month competency sign-off
- Structured 16-day roster per 30-day cycle
- Site allowances and travel support
- Annual leave entitlements plus Time-in-Lieu (TIL) accrual where applicable
- Structured annual pay progression tied to skill development and performance
- Explicit long‑term progression in a growing company
- A tight‑knit, high‑performance team
