Business Development Manager - Industrial & Onboard Weighing Systems n

About the Role

n

n
- Reporting to the State General Manager, this is a sales-driven role focused on growing our Queensland customer base, developing new business and achieving sales and gross profit targets.
n
- Based from our Wakerley branch, this is an on-the-road role for someone who is passionate about sales, enjoys getting in front of customers and is motivated to find and convert new opportunities.
n
- You will manage a broad portfolio including onboard vehicle weighing, industrial scales and heavy industrial weighing systems.
n
- You don't need weighing experience. We are looking for someone with a strong sales or business development background, a proven track record, positive attitude and the ability to learn quickly.
n
- We want someone who brings energy to the role, takes ownership and wants to make a positive difference to our customers, team and branch.
n

Key Responsibilities

n

n
- Achieve sales revenue, gross profit and activity targets.
n
- Actively prospect and generate new business opportunities.
n
- Spend time on the road meeting existing and potential customers.
n
- Respond quickly to new enquiries and turn them into sales opportunities.
n
- Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline.
n
- Follow up quotations and keep opportunities moving through to order.
n
- Grow existing key customer relationships and identify further opportunities.
n
- Understand customer challenges and work with our technical team to provide the right solution.
n
- Manage the full sales process from initial enquiry through to order.
n
- Maintain accurate CRM activity, pipeline and sales forecasts.
n
- Work closely with Service,



Operations and Product teams to deliver what we promise to our customers.
n
- Bring positive energy, ideas and opportunities to the Wakerley branch.
n

About You

n

We are looking for a passionate and driven sales professional who enjoys winning new business and building strong customer relationships.

n

You are proactive, confident getting in front of customers and comfortable picking up the phone and creating opportunities rather than waiting for business to come to you.

n

You will have:

n

n
- A strong sales or business development background with a proven track record of achieving results.
n
- Experience in B2B, industrial or capital equipment sales would be advantageous.
n
- A genuine passion for sales and winning new business.
n
- Strong customer relationship and communication skills.
n
- The ability to prospect, build a pipeline and convert opportunities.
n
- Strong follow-up and a willingness to take ownership.
n
- Good commercial understanding of sales, margin and customer value.
n
- A positive attitude, good energy and willingness to contribute to the team.
n
- The ability to learn quickly and develop your product knowledge.
n
- Experience using CRM systems and managing a sales territory.
n
- A current driver's licence and willingness to spend time on the road.
n
