About the Role n

We're seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Officer to cover maternity leave on a fixed-term basis. Working closely with our Office Manager, you'll own the end-to-end accounts payable function alongside reception and general admin support — a hands-on, varied role for someone who enjoys accuracy, structure, and being the go-to person for supplier queries.

- Processing supplier invoices and statements – checking, sorting and obtaining authorisation
n
- Entering and maintaining suppliers in Xero
n
- Initiating supplier payments and ensuring creditors are paid within terms
n
- Collating and following up subcontractor bills
n
- Month-end supplier statement reconciliation and monthly reconciliation
n




- Credit card expense allocation and receipt processing in Xero
n
- Preparing the Fuel Tax Credit spreadsheet
n
- Reconciling the Payment bank accounts
n
- Full pallet control
n
- Assisting with payroll (timecards, entering payroll into spreadsheet and Xero)

About You nn
- Prior experience in an accounts payable or similar role
n
- Confident using Xero (or similar accounting software)
n
- Strong administrative skills across the Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word)
n
- High attention to detail and accurate data entry skills
n
- Well-developed time management and organisational skills
n
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
n
- Positive, friendly and approachable manner
n
- Proactive, uses initiative and collaborates well with internal and external stakeholders
