We're working with a privately owned construction business delivering commercial construction, refurbishment and upgrade projects across South East Queensland. With a diverse pipeline of work, including aged care refurbishments and commercial projects valued up to $10M, they're looking for an experienced Senior Estimator to join the team.

This is an opportunity to step into a hands-on role where your commercial judgement, attention to detail and ability to identify opportunities will make a genuine difference.

Description

You'll take the lead on estimating across a range of commercial construction and refurbishment projects, working closely with the wider team from tender through to project handover.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Preparing detailed cost estimates, BOQs and tender submissions.
- Reviewing drawings, specifications and contract documentation.
- Obtaining and analysing subcontractor and supplier pricing.
- Identifying cost-saving opportunities, risks and potential variations.
- Managing tender processes, budgets and cost plans.
- Working closely with project delivery teams to ensure a smooth handover.
- Building strong relationships with subcontractors, suppliers and clients.

Profile

You'll be an experienced Estimator with a strong commercial understanding and the confidence to manage tenders from start to finish.

Ideally, you'll bring:

- Previous estimating experience within commercial construction in Australia.




- Experience pricing refurbishment projects valued up to $10M.
- Strong knowledge of construction costs, subcontractor pricing and procurement.
- The ability to interpret drawings, specifications and scopes of work.
- Excellent attention to detail and commercial awareness.
- A proactive approach and the ability to work collaboratively with a great team.

Experience across refurbishment, aged care, healthcare, education, government or general commercial construction would be highly regarded.

Job Offer

- $150,000 + super, depending on experience.
