#### Job descriptionCanex has an opportunity for 30 Full Time Aquaculture attendants located in the Broome, Western Australian area for our upcoming season.Tasks required of attendants include but are not limited to loading and feeding using mobile fishfeeders, assist in harvest operations, test dams for water quality, conduct heath checks, movegrade and weighing fish, maintain accurate data, conduct other general duties and maintenance.Successful candidates will be provided with on the job training with some candidates having theability to upskill.You may be responsible for maintaining and harvesting pearl oysters, monitoring water conditions, feeding oysters, and ensuring farm equipment is in good condition. The role involves physical work both on land and in water, requiring attention to detail and adherence to safety standards.For this exciting role you must have a good level of physical fitness,



as you are often on your feet and active for the majority of your shift.Requirements:* Ready and able to work long shifts (11 hours a day)* Be flexible in your approach to work* A great attitude with your work* Be neat in tidy* Be able to work alone or part of a team.* Be able to follow verbal directions.* Be willing to work in all weather conditions including very hot summer periods or wet and rainy cooler periods.You will be required to work an average of 38 hours per week.The term of work will be from November, 2026 to November, 2027.You will be paid under the Aquaculture industry award [MA000114].* The work pay for an ordinary rate of Level 1 $25.75 up to Level 2 $26.44+ per hour.* Working hours will vary from anywhere from 5am to 4pm, 7 days per week.* Overtime rates will be paid where applicable* Upskilling & additional allowances may also be paid if you were trained in extra tasks.In order to be considered please provide a cover letter.
