Experienced flexo label printers: this one is for you

MCC Brisbane is looking for a Flexographic Label Printer to join our production team. If you are an experienced printer, and you know what it takes to get premium labels through set-up, run and QC right first time, we would like to talk to you.

The roster is 3 set days per week; fortnightly rotation from days to nights and paid meal breaks. You will work alongside a team of skilled printers who care about precision, quality and getting the job right, on modern, industry-leading printing technology.

Our labels are on the shelves, behind the bar and in the home: beverages, food packaging, home and personal care, and automotive products. The biggest FMCG brands, trust MCC to produce labels which promote and help sell the product. You will probably handle something we have printed every day.

What you will be doing

- Running work to the schedule. Producing high-quality labels for some of Australia’s most recognisable brands.
- Upholding quality assurance practices and keeping accurate data and records
- Maintaining and troubleshooting your press with a strong focus on safety, quality and efficiency.
- Minimising unplanned downtime, escalating as required, and reporting maintenance or repair needs promptly
- Supporting Print Assistants and coordinating daily tasks to keep production running smoothly

Highly Regarded Experience

Our first preference is for printers who bring multi colour flexographic label experience to the press room:

- However printers with other skills eg Litho,



Offset etc also considered with full training offered.
- Foiling, embossing and die cutting experience (highly desirable)
- Experience operating Gallus, MPS or Mark Andy presses (highly desirable)
- Self-adhesive label printing and converting experience (regarded favourably)

Experience with highly embellished labels is a plus, but not essential.

What you will need

- Trade qualification as a printer (Certificate III in Print or equivalent)
- Strong attention to detail and excellent quality control standards
- A printing or manufacturing background
- Physical capability to perform manual handling tasks
- Eligible Australian working rights

Printing from another background?

If you are a trade-qualified printer from another background eg offset, lithographic etc we will consider your application too, and full training is provided.
