Want to spend more time doing HR and less time administering it?

Prime Pharmacy Group is looking for a People & Culture Advisor who enjoys the human side of HR - supporting leaders, solving workplace problems, navigating difficult conversations and helping managers get the best from their teams.

We are a growing group of pharmacies supported by a dedicated Support Office team, and we are evolving the way our People & Culture function operates.

We're actively automating and simplifying many traditional HR administration processes so our HR team can spend more time where it adds the greatest value.

That's where you come in.

The role

Reporting to our Head of Operations, you'll be a trusted HR advisor to managers and leaders across the group.

Your day could involve helping a manager navigate a performance issue, coaching a leader before a difficult conversation, working through an Award interpretation, resolving conflict between team members, reviewing an employee complaint or identifying a workplace people risk before it becomes a bigger problem.

You'll have plenty of variety and a genuine opportunity to influence how HR is delivered across the business.

You’ll be involved in:

- Employee relations and industrial relations advice
- Performance and conduct management
- Workplace conflict and grievance resolution
- Manager coaching and capability development
- Workplace investigations
- Award, Fair Work and employment contract interpretation
- Termination, redundancy and organisational change support
- Psychosocial safety and workplace people risk
- Recruitment for key leadership and Support Office positions
- HR policy and compliance
- Employee engagement, retention and culture initiatives
- HR projects and continuous improvement

What this role isn't:

We're deliberately changing the way we work.

You won't be joining us simply to spend your week processing onboarding forms, maintaining spreadsheets or manually completing repetitive HR administration.

We're investing in automation,



systems and clearer processes to take care of more of that work.

We want your time focused on the things technology can't replace easily: judgement, relationships, coaching, problem-solving and conversations.

About you

We're looking for someone who has spent around 3-5 years working in HR and is ready for a role with more ownership.

You don't need to have been a HR Manager.

You do need to be comfortable when a manager calls and says:

"I've got an employee situation and I'm not sure what to do next."

You’ll ideally bring:

- Generalist HR experience with exposure to employee relations
- Practical knowledge of Australian employment legislation and Up-to-date Awards
- Confidence supporting performance and conduct matters
- The ability to coach managers through difficult conversations
- Strong judgement and an ability to remain objective
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Curiosity and a willingness to challenge inefficient HR processes
- A practical, calm and solutions-focused approach

Experience within pharmacy, healthcare, retail or another multi-site environment would be great, but isn't essential.

Experience with workplace investigations, psychosocial safety or organisational change would also be highly regarded.
