Reporting to the Senior Group Director of Marketing, the PR & Communications Manager is responsible for leading and executing public relations, media relations and communications initiatives across Salter Brothers Hospitality's portfolio.

The role will drive brand awareness, earned media outcomes, stakeholder engagement and reputation management through strategic communications, media engagement and storytelling.

This is a Brisbane-based position - the role offers hybrid working arrangements, with a combination of office and work-from-home days.

Our collection includes renowned brands such as Spicers Retreats, Bannisters, and Ardour Hotels & Estates, alongside more than 29 restaurants and bars, luxury spa destinations, and unique wellness experiences.

The role and key duties;

- Develop and execute the PR & Communications Strategy across the SBH portfolio.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with media, journalists, editors, influencers and industry stakeholders.
- Develop media releases, communications materials, key messaging and executive profiles.
- Lead proactive media pitching to secure coverage across travel, hospitality, lifestyle, food, business and trade media.
- Manage media enquiries, interviews, press trips,



familiarisations and media events.
- Support new hotel openings, venue launches, campaigns, partnerships and major announcements.
- Monitor media coverage and provide reporting on PR performance and earned media outcomes.
- Support internal communications and key business messaging initiatives.
- Provide guidance on reputation management, issues management and crisis communications.
- Manage PR calendars, agency relationships and media databases.
- Partner closely with hotel, restaurant, operations, commercial and marketing teams to maximise PR opportunities.

Essential criteria required to be considered;

- Minimum 3 years' experience in a Public Relations or Communications role, with experience within the hotel, hospitality, tourism, luxury or lifestyle sectors highly regarded.
- Tertiary qualification in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing or a related discipline.
- Proven experience developing and executing successful PR and communications strategies.
- Robust media contacts and demonstrated success securing media coverage.
- Experience managing multiple stakeholders and projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organisational, project management and relationship-building capability.
- Ability to think strategically while also delivering hands-on execution.
- Passion for hospitality, travel, food and lifestyle brands.
