Our nursery is an established and highly regarded retailer to the gardeners of Toowoomba and the surrounding region. We take pride in the service we offer to customers and the value we offer to them with professional advice and horticultural expertise.

We are seeking an experienced nursery retail assistant to provide inviting, friendly customer service to our consumers. Our ideal candidate will have in-depth horticultural knowledge applicable to Toowoomba and surrounds gained through training and/or work experience in the region and will be able to demonstrate excellent personal skills.

Responsibilities

- Responding to customer queries
- Opening and closing as per procedure
- Maintaining a healthy nursery ecosystem
- Growing and maintaining trees, shrub and flower stock
- Creating attractive plant and sale displays




- Monitoring weather conditions to maintain plant health

Our business operates seven days a week so a roster including weekend work should be expected.

Requirements

- Technical training (Cert III or above) in horticulture, agriculture, landscape or similar field
- 3+ years recent work experience in horticulture, landscaping or similar field
- Detailed knowledge of plants, soil, fertilisers and growing techniques
- Skilled and friendly with excellent interpersonal skills and a passion for customer service
- Responsible and punctual
- Familiarity with POS and stock ordering systems
- LR License advantageous
