My Care Living is seeking a dedicated and experienced female Disability Support Worker for active night shifts in the Springwood area.

n

This role requires a female support worker as a genuine occupational requirement due to personal care needs and participant preference.

n

This role is for someone who is calm under pressure, experienced in high-intensity support, and reliable when it matters. We are looking for a Support Worker who can manage complex needs, communicate clearly, and provide consistent, person-centred care.

Pay for active night shifts is $47 per hour + super.

The Role n

This is an active night role in Springwood. You will provide hands-on overnight support, not inactive monitoring.

n

You will:

n

- Deliver active overnight support, including personal care, mobility support, safety monitoring, and responding to needs throughout the night
n
- Administer medication safely and accurately according to support plans
n
- Support high-intensity and complex care needs, including wound care where required
n
- Use safe manual handling and hoists for transfers and mobility
n
- Respond calmly during periods of distress or complex behaviour, using patience and de-escalation
n
- Maintain clear, accurate, and timely documentation, progress notes, and incident reports
n




- Communicate effectively with the participant, team, and relevant professionals
n
- Work as part of a team, follow support plans, and be willing to learn
n

What We’re Looking For nn
- Female support worker (genuine occupational requirement due to personal care needs)
n
- Proven experience as a Support Worker in NDIS or disability settings
n
- Experience in high-intensity care supports
n
- Experience supporting participants with complex behaviours
n
- Confident and competent with medication administration
n
- Experience or willingness to manage wound care according to plans
n
- Strong manual handling skills and confidence using hoists
n
- High emotional intelligence — calm, patient, and resilient
n
- Ability to stay professional and not take things personally
n
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
n
- Strong attention to detail and reliable documentation
n
- De-escalation skills and the ability to remain steady under pressure
n
- Reliable, consistent, and able to work as part of a team
n
- Willing to learn and follow support plans
n
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain)
n
- Current First Aid and CPR
n
- Valid driver’s licence and reliable car with comprehensive insurance
n
- Certificate III or IV in Individual Support
n
- Experience in complex disability or high-intensity support
n
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module
n
