My client are a growing & reputable Accounting Firm based in Melbourne's CBD. They are looking for a talented Intermediate Business Services Accountant to join their team!

The Role: n

As an Intermediate Accountant, you will work alongside a talented team of professionals and have the opportunity to develop your expertise in a range of accounting services. Key responsibilities include:

- Different to your usual Firm, more Advisory work & less pushing numbers.
n
- Dealing with clients hands on, fast tracking your learning & skills.
n
- Preparing financial statements, tax returns, and BAS for individuals, trusts, companies, and SMSFs.
n
- Assisting with tax planning and advisory services.
n
- Managing client relationships and maintaining regular communication.
n
- Reviewing work completed by junior staff and providing mentorship.
n
- Identifying opportunities for efficiency improvements and process enhancements.
n




- Ensuring compliance with Australian accounting standards and tax legislation.
n
- Supporting senior team members with ad-hoc projects and client requirements.
n

About You: nn
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience in public practice or a similar accounting workplace.
n
- A relevant accounting degree and progress towards CPA/CA qualification (or equivalent).
n
- Strong technical knowledge of Australian tax and accounting standards.
n
- Proficiency in Xero, MYOB, and other accounting software .
n
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work well in a team.
n
- A strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
n
- A proactive attitude with a genuine interest in professional development.
