Our client is an established engineering, construction and operations business delivering transport, building, water and other infrastructure works across Australia. Its multidisciplinary teams support the development and operation of assets used by local communities.
The Opportunity n
Independently check civil construction work against approved designs and quality standards on a major metropolitan road upgrade.
Your Work n
n
- Carry out routine surveillance and formal inspections at designated hold and witness points.
n
- Check materials and workmanship against drawings, specifications and applicable road-authority standards.
n
- Maintain inspection logs, photographs, checklists and supporting evidence.
n
- Escalate defects, unsafe practices and departures from approved methods promptly.
n
- Help delivery and quality teams track non-conformances to closure and participate in site briefings.
n
RequirementsSkills, Education And Requirements n
n
- Sound understanding of client standards,
specifications and quality-management requirements.
n
- Experience preparing, applying and reviewing inspection and test plans and testing requirements.
n
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical documents.
n
- Solid written communication and effective relationships with site teams, clients and subcontractors.
