Principal Subsea Systems Engineer

Location: Perth, WA

Contract: 12-Month Contract (Potential Extension)

Key Responsibilitiesn

n
- Provide technical leadership across subsea production systems including trees, manifolds, controls, flowlines, umbilicals and associated infrastructure.
n
- Ensure effective integration between subsea equipment, wells, SURF systems and facilities.
n
- Support project development activities from concept selection and FEED through to execution and commissioning.
n
- Manage technical interfaces across multiple disciplines, contractors and stakeholders.
n
- Participate in risk assessments, HAZOPs, HAZIDs, SIL studies and design reviews.
n
- Review and approve engineering deliverables, technical documentation and vendor submissions.
n
- Identify and manage technical risks, issues and opportunities throughout the project lifecycle.
n
- Support procurement activities, contractor management and package delivery teams.
n
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to project and engineering teams.
n

About Youn

Degree qualified in Mechanical, Offshore, Ocean, Subsea or related Engineering discipline. Extensive experience within offshore oil & gas and subsea developments. Strong background in subsea production systems and system integration.



Proven experience working across FEED, detailed design, installation and commissioning phases. Demonstrated experience managing complex technical interfaces and multidisciplinary teams. Strong understanding of subsea equipment, controls, well systems and SURF infrastructure. Experience participating in formal safety and risk management processes. Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication and problem-solving skills.

Desired Experiencen

Operator, EPC/EPCI or subsea OEM experience. Brownfield and greenfield offshore project experience. Exposure to large-scale offshore developments and deepwater projects. Previous experience in lead or principal-level engineering roles.
