We are seeking an experienced Duty Manager to join the Glenroy Hotel Alexandria, a dynamic hospitality venue in the heart of Alexandria, NSW. This is a full-time position that offers a fantastic opportunity to take on a leadership role within our hotel operations. As Duty Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, ensuring exceptional customer experiences, and maintaining the highest standards of service and safety.

(Casual or part time position can also be considered if preferred by the successful candidate)

Key responsibilities

Oversee all daily hotel operations during your shift, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures

Manage and supervise staff members to deliver excellent service

Handle customer concerns and complaints with professionalism, resolving issues promptly to ensure customer satisfaction

Monitor & manage financial transactions, cash handling and till management to ensure accuracy and security

Maintain health, safety and security standards throughout the hotel, conducting regular inspections

Liaise with kitchen, bar staff to coordinate service delivery and maintain operational efficiency

Conduct opening and closing procedures, including securing the premises and completing relevant documentation

Report on incidents, accidents and operational issues to management and maintain detailed records

Contribute to revenue generation through up selling opportunities and promoting venues services and facilities

What we're looking for

Proven experience as a Duty Manager or similar management role within the hospitality industry,



preferably in a hotel or pub environment or you may be looking to take the next step into a management role

Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and train staff effectively

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a genuine passion for delivering outstanding customer service

Sound knowledge of hospitality operations, including bar, food service, gaming & TAB management

Proficiency with point-of-sale technology

Comprehensive understanding of health, safety, security and liquor licensing regulations

Strong problem-solving abilities and composure under pressure in a fast-paced environment

Ability to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends and public holidays as required

Current RSA + RCG certification + TAB AML/CTF
