Job Description

An established Sydney garden maintenance business is hiring a Garden Maintenance Offsider and wants the position filled as soon as possible. What the employer needs is energy and enthusiasm, backed by some familiarity with garden machinery.

Its close-knit team maintains and renovates gardens around the Sydney metro area, and the standard expected is high. Hours are full-time across Monday to Friday, normally 7.30 to 3.30, at $33.50 - $37.50 per hour.

The employer recruits with experience in mind while giving plenty of credit to the right attitude, a real interest in gardening and a love of being outdoors. It is a registered sponsor and states that a pathway can be offered to the right person.

- Support the team on day-to-day garden upkeep
n




- Assist with renovating gardens so the result meets a high standard
n
- Handle the whipper snipper (strimmer), hedger and mower
n
- Carry out outdoor work from 7.30, Monday through Friday

- Valuable communication skills

- A hard worker who is able to have a laugh while getting the job done

- Fluent English

- Some experience on the whipper snipper (strimmer), hedger and mower
n
- A background in garden maintenance work is a big plus, or else recent completion of a horticulture-related course at TAFE or college
n
- Availability to start work at 7.30
