Warehouse Storeperson for Inwards goods & Freezer Stock Replenishment

We're looking for an experienced Warehouse Storeperson to join our team at the Hudson Food Group warehouse in Tullamarine, VIC. This is a casual role, offering flexible schedule to suit your lifestyle. As a Warehouse Storeperson, you'll be responsible for receiving, storing and managing our Inwards goods, playing a vital part in our distribution operations.

What you'll be doing

Receiving and inspecting incoming materials: responsible for physically receiving materials, verifying quantity and quality, and checking them for any damages or discrepancies.

Documenting and recording material movements: Accurately transact all received materials in the WMS system.

Reconciliation and discrepancy resolution: In case of any discrepancies, such as incorrect quantities or damaged goods, promptly communicate and coordinate with the appropriate departments, suppliers, or carriers to resolve the issues.

Collaboration and communication: Effective communication skills will be essential in coordinating with internal stakeholders as well as external suppliers.

Continuous improvement: You will actively participate in process improvement initiatives by identifying areas for enhancement, suggesting solutions, and implementing best practices to optimize efficiency and accuracy in goods receiving operations.

In addition, we require the following skills and experience:

Candidates must be able to perform moderate lifting as part of regular duties including offloading and unloading inwards goods from delivery vehicles.





Work in a safe manner in Compliance with WHS and other company policies and quality procedures. Ensure the safety of yourself and your teammates when handling and storing goods to ensure a safe working environment.

Attention to detail: Accurately inspect and record incoming shipments, ensuring that the quantities, qualities, and specifications of the goods match the purchase orders.

Organizational skills: Efficiently manage and keep track of multiple incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring that they are properly received, stored, and distributed.

Strong communication skills: Effective verbal and written communication is essential.

Basic maths skills: Accurately count and calculate quantities, weights, and measurements of received goods.

Experience in using Warehouse Management/ERP systems: other relevant software for tracking and recording material movements.

Problem-solving abilities: Ability to identify and resolve discrepancies, damages, or issues with received goods, and work towards finding solutions promptly.

Experience with goods receiving processes: Prior experience in a similar role, such as a warehouse or inventory clerk.

Minimum warehouse experience:



Candidates must have a minimum of 1+ years of experience in a warehouse or distribution environment.

Forklift licence is essential.

Work eligibility: Australian work rights are required for this position.
