Job Description

We are seeking a passionate and energetic Barista and Cafe Allrounder to join the team at Twenty One Days Cafe. This is a casual position based in Glenroy VIC 3046 . As a Barista and Cafe Allrounder, you will be the face of our cafe, delivering exceptional customer service whilst preparing high-quality beverages and food items. This role is fundamental to creating a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring every guest leaves satisfied with their experience at our establishment.

What you'll be doing n

Prepare and serve a variety of specialty coffee drinks, espresso-based beverages and other hot and cold drinks to a high standard

n

Take customer orders accurately and efficiently, providing recommendations and responding to specific requests

n

Operate and maintain cafe equipment including espresso machines, grinders, steamers and other brewing apparatus

n

Prepare light food items, snacks and pastries for service in accordance with cafe standards and health regulations

n

Maintain a clean, hygienic and well‑organised work station and cafe environment at all times

n

Process payments accurately using the point‑of‑sale system and handle cash responsibly

n

Provide attentive and friendly customer service, building rapport and ensuring positive customer interactions

n

Support with general cafe duties including restocking supplies, managing inventory and clearing tables

n

Collaborate effectively with team members during busy service periods to ensure smooth operations

What we're looking for n

Previous experience working as a barista or in a cafe environment is highly desirable

n

Solid knowledge of coffee preparation techniques, coffee bean varieties and espresso-based drinks

n

Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, professional and approachable demeanour

n





Ability to work efficiently under pressure during peak service times

n

Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of hygiene and presentation

n

Physical capability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks

n

Reliable, punctual and flexible with availability to work casual shifts including mornings, afternoons, weekends and public holidays as required

n

Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team environment

n

Basic numeracy skills for cash handling and order processing

n

A passion for hospitality and genuine enthusiasm for delivering an exceptional customer experience
