Aftermarket Specialist — Parts & Service

This role owns the commercial delivery of spare parts and service for the International installed base across Australia and Current Zealand. It converts enquiries into orders, grows parts and service revenue per customer, and sets what the work is sold at. It also holds the inventory reporting, forecasting and audit evidence the business depends on. Spare parts inventory is a material item on the balance sheet and is subject to external audit and statutory reporting obligations, so accuracy here is not discretionary.

Key responsibilities

Show leadership and self determination to improve and develop operational systems

Prepare accurate spare parts quotes using the standard quoting workbook, covering multiple internationally recognised premium brands

Apply margin discipline on every quote, and escal…?

Price and quote service work — set the rate for each job on the standing contractor purchase order plus margin basis, and approve any departure from it

Follow up every quote above the agreed threshold within five business days, and again before it lapses

Record the outcome of every quote — won, lost or lapsed — with the reason

Recommend related, wear and consumable parts on every enquiry rather than quoting only the line requested

Treat every parts contact as an opening, not a transaction, and cross-sell across the customer's operation





Report to the business KPI's weekly — inventory position, sales order intake and revenue

Produce the month-end inventory valuation and supporting reconciliation for finance

Support the external audit — stock listings, reconciliations, valuation support and count evidence provided on request and on time

About you

Spare parts, aftermarket or internal-sales experience in industrial or capital-equipment environments

Working mechanical understanding of mixing, dosing and bakery process equipment

Confident selling — comfortable recommending, quoting, cross-selling and asking for the order

Curious about the customer's wider operation, not just the machine in front of them

Sound judgement on margin, pricing and stock levels

Competent with inventory / ERP systems, spreadsheets and email management

Disciplined and methodical — follows up, records outcomes, closes the loop

Accountable for accuracy, particularly where the numbers are audited

Commercially minded; sees a parts enquiry as an opening into the account, not a transaction
