BIG ENERGY. GREAT LEADERSHIP. SOLID OPERATIONS. GREAT PEOPLE!

Are you a natural leader who knows how to bring out the best in people, run a busy workshop and keep everything moving in the right direction?

Our client is a fast-growing, well-established modular building company looking for an exceptional Operations Manager to take charge of their day-to-day operations, lead their teams and drive productivity, quality and performance across the business.

We're looking for someone with excellent energy, a positive attitude, strong leadership skills and a genuine passion for people.

Someone who commands respect through their knowledge, fairness and actions. Someone who can have a laugh with the team, roll up their sleeves when needed and still confidently lead a busy operation.

This isn't a sit-behind-a-desk management role. We want a leader who gets amongst it, makes things happen and takes pride in running a fantastic operation!

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

- Taking ownership of the day-to-day operations of a busy modular building workshop.
- Leading, motivating and managing workshop teams, supervisors, trades and support staff.
- Planning production schedules, workloads and daily priorities.
- Ensuring jobs move efficiently through the workshop from start to finish.
- Coordinating materials, stock, equipment, resources and labour requirements.
- Working closely with production, construction, administration and installation teams.
- Making sure the right people, materials and equipment are in the right place at the right time.
- Monitoring project timelines, budgets, productivity and quality standards.
- Identifying bottlenecks,

solving problems and improving operational efficiency.
- Managing workflow, workforce planning and resource allocation.
- Driving accountability, teamwork and a strong safety culture.
- Maintaining excellent standards of workmanship and presentation.
- Supporting recruitment, onboarding, training and development of team members.
- Building strong relationships across all areas of the business.
- Introducing smarter systems, better processes and practical improvements.
- Keeping management informed of operational performance, challenges and opportunities.
- Creating a workplace where people enjoy coming to work and take pride in what they achieve.

THE PERSON WE WANT!

We're not just looking for experience on paper. We're looking for an outstanding human being who happens to be a fantastic leader!

Someone who brings:

- Leadership that earns respect – You're confident, fair, approachable and know how to lead by example.
- Positive energy and optimism – You see solutions, not problems, and bring a can-do attitude every day.
- A genuine love for people – You're kind, supportive, qualified and know how to get the best out of different personalities.
- Strong organisation – You can juggle multiple projects, changing priorities and busy teams without losing your cool.
- Accountability – You set high standards, follow through and aren't afraid to have difficult conversations when needed.

- Commercial awareness – You understand productivity, labour costs, budgets, deadlines and the importance of running an efficient operation.
- Excellent communication – You can speak confidently with trades, supervisors, management, suppliers and clients.
- A hands-on attitude – You're happy to get involved, understand what's happening on the floor and help your team succeed.
- A sense of humour! – You work hard, have fun and know that a happy, motivated team is a productive team.

YOUR EXPERIENCE

Ideally, you'll bring:

- Proven experience as an Operations Manager, Production Manager, Workshop Manager or senior construction leader.
- Experience managing multiple teams in a fast-paced construction, manufacturing or production environment.
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, production scheduling and workflow management.
- Experience coordinating trades, materials, labour and project delivery.
- Confidence managing budgets, productivity, quality and operational performance.
- Excellent problem-solving, planning and decision-making abilities.
- Strong people management and team development experience.
- An understanding of workplace health and safety requirements.

SOUND LIKE YOU?

We want someone who can walk into a busy workshop, bring everyone together, create structure, lift standards and make the whole operation run beautifully.

A strong leader. A great organiser. A positive thinker. A people person. Someone who earns respect and inspires others to do their best.

If you love construction, enjoy a challenge and know how to build a high-performing team while keeping the workplace positive and enjoyable, we'd absolutely love to hear from you!
