Make the right choice

We are looking for a Product Manager to support and deliver growth across our retail portfolio through the execution of product initiatives, New Product Development (NPD), and in‑market performance.

Working closely with the Portfolio Manager and cross‑functional teams, you’ll play a key role in bringing recent products to market, supporting portfolio optimisation, identifying growth opportunities, and ensuring successful retail execution across New Zealand and Australia.

This role can be based in either Melbourne or Brisbane – choose the location that works best for you.

What you’ll be doing

- Lead New Product Development (NPD) projects from concept through to launch, coordinating cross‑functional teams to deliver successful market outcomes.
- Identify market trends, consumer insights and growth opportunities to support innovation, portfolio growth and category performance.
- Support portfolio planning, range optimisation and product rationalisation initiatives to ensure an effective and competitive product offering.
- Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, R&D;, Supply Chain, Procurement and Finance teams to deliver product, pricing and commercial objectives.
- Develop customer‑facing materials and support retail execution activities, including presentations, trade marketing collateral, training content and range reviews.
- Monitor competitor activity and maintain accurate product information, specifications and documentation to support informed decision‑making and successful product delivery.

What you’ll bring with you

- Experience in product management, product development and/or marketing, supported by a relevant tertiary qualification.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects, balance competing priorities and deliver results in a fast‑paced environment.
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to interpret market insights and translate them into actionable recommendations.
- Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills, with the ability to work effectively across diverse teams and stakeholders.
- A proactive,

self‑motivated and continuous improvement mindset, coupled with strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
- FMCG or consumer products experience would be advantageous, along with exposure to AI tools that improve insights, reporting or project management effectiveness.

Build what’s next. Not what’s always been.

This is a newly created leadership role, designed to elevate how product categories are led across the business. The focus is shifting from pure product management and execution to stronger strategic category leadership.

We’re looking for a senior product or category leader who enjoys setting direction, building capability and driving commercial outcomes through others, rather than being buried in the day‑to‑day of product management.

You will be responsible for overseeing a large, complex SKU‑intensive national product portfolio, with accountability for strategy, performance and long‑term growth.

Leading a team of three Product Managers, your role is to set the agenda — defining category strategy,

pricing architecture and portfolio direction — while empowering your team to execute at a high standard.

This is not a hands‑on Product Manager role. It’s about lifting the function, improving decision quality and ensuring the category is led with clarity, discipline and commercial intent.

You’ll have genuine authority, visibility and the mandate to improve — supported by a business investing in systems, data and people capability.

The Opportunity

This role is a key opportunity to influence strategy and drive substantial impact across a wide portfolio.

What you’ll be responsible for

- Setting and owning category strategy and long‑term direction.
- Leading, coaching and developing a team of three Product Managers.
- Establishing clear priorities, governance and ways of working for the category.
- Owning pricing architecture, margin performance and portfolio decisions.
- Guiding product lifecycle, range optimisation and investment choices.
- Driving data‑led decision‑making and performance reviews.
- Partnering with supply chain, sales and marketing to align execution.
- Lifting capability and maturity across the product function.

Industry background is open — FMCG, hardware, tools, automotive, building materials, industrial or consumer categories are all relevant. What matters most is your ability to lead people, set strategy and drive outcomes at scale.

Benefits

- A role with scope: you will be empowered to formulate and enact the private label strategies end to end for opportunistic and fast‑growing categories across large multi‑branded national store network.
- Learn and be inspired from the best: work with mentors and leaders in the retail sector.
- Ability to take 6 weeks leave a year (4 paid).
- Parental Leave: 26 weeks paid leave for primary carer and 8 weeks for secondary carer.
- Career opportunity of a lifetime: develop and shape the division and make your mark.
- Office in the South East: versatile, open and collaborative workplace.
- Fun culture: unique talents leveraged, success celebrated.
- Sky and breadth for further career possibilities are limitless for performers.
- A workplace that lives, operates and stands by its people‑centric values.

Compensation range: Competitive package, flexibility and long‑term career runway is on offer.
