About the role

Rap Joinery Pty Ltd is seeking a Pre-Production Manager to join our growing team in Pooraka, SA.

This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in optimising our production workflows and ensuring projects are executed efficiently from the initial planning stages through to manufacturing. As Pre-Production Manager, you will be the vital link between design, client requirements, and our production team, managing timelines, resources, and quality standards to deliver exceptional joinery and cabinet making solutions.

Key responsibilities

- Coordinating and overseeing all pre-production activities, including project planning, scheduling, and resource allocation
- Liaising with clients, designers, and sales teams to clarify specifications, measurements, and design requirements
- Preparing technical drawings, cutting lists, and material specifications for the production team
- Conducting quality reviews of designs and specifications prior to production to identify and resolve potential issues
- Managing material procurement and ensuring stock availability for scheduled projects
- Monitoring project progress and adjusting timelines or resources as needed to meet deadlines
- Communicating effectively with production staff, providing clear instructions and guidance
- Maintaining accurate records and documentation of all pre-production activities
- Identifying opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains
- Measuring of job sites according to plans before handing off to programming team

What we're looking for

- Proven experience in pre-production, production planning, or project coordination within joinery, cabinet making,



or furniture manufacturing
- Strong knowledge of carpentry and cabinet making techniques, materials, and industry standards
- Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Solid communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise effectively with clients, designers, and production teams
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality standards
- Problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving production challenges
- Physical ability to move around the workshop and understand on-site production processes
- Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel occasionally for client consultations
- Australian Resident
