Isadraulics n

Isadraulics is looking for a trade-qualified Machinist to join our established workshop team in Mount Isa.

n

This isn't a repetitive production machining role. You'll be working across a variety of machining and hydraulic repair tasks, manufacturing and restoring components used in demanding industrial and mining applications.

n

With approximately 90% of our work supporting the mining industry, you'll have the opportunity to apply your skills to a diverse range of equipment and repair challenges.

n

You'll be joining a close-knit team of around 25 people, where practical experience, teamwork and quality workmanship are valued.

What You'll Be Doing n

n
- Operating manual lathes, milling machines and other workshop equipment
n
- Machining, repairing and manufacturing hydraulic components
n
- Performing cylinder honing and associated repair work
n
- Manufacturing replacement parts from engineering drawings or existing samples
n
- Supporting hydraulic cylinder repairs, including re-rod and re-barrel work
n
- Using precision measuring equipment to ensure accuracy and quality
n
- Working alongside the workshop team to deliver safe, practical and reliable repair solutions
n

What We're Looking For n

We're looking for a capable, hands-on Machinist with strong manual machining skills and a practical approach to problem-solving.

Ideally, you'll bring: n

- A relevant trade qualification in machining or a related discipline
n
- Proven experience operating manual lathes and milling machines
n
- The ability to interpret engineering drawings and manufacture components from samples
n
- Confidence working with precision measuring equipment and machining tolerances
n




- Robust attention to detail and pride in your workmanship
n
- The ability to work both independently and as part of a small team
n
- Current Australian working rights
n

Experience with hydraulic cylinder repairs, cylinder honing, fabrication, re-rods or re-barrels would be highly regarded.

n

You don't necessarily need to come from a hydraulics background. If you've got strong manual machining skills and is willing to learn, we'd still be interested in hearing from you.
