Supervisor/Bartender/Assistant Manager –

Baja Cantina is a Cali-style Mexican restaurant bringing vibrant flavours and relaxed, welcoming hospitality to Sydney. With three established locations and a new restaurant opening in Circular Quay, we’re looking for a motivated Supervisor/ Assistant Restaurant Manager to join our growing team.

This opportunity is open to an experienced Assistant Restaurant Manager/Supervisor/Bartender who is ready to take the next step in their career.

The role

- Manage daily operations and ensure every service runs smoothly
- Train staff in service standards, menu knowledge and customer care.
- Assist with rostering, shift planning and opening and closing procedures.
- Coordinate with the kitchen and bar teams to deliver timely, consistent service.
- Maintain high standards of service, presentation and guest experience
- Manage staff performance and create a positive team culture
- Lead by example and take an active role in the restaurant.
- Recruit, train and develop the front-of-house team.




- Work closely with the kitchen and senior management team
- Handle customer feedback and resolve problems professionally

About you

- Experience as a restaurant supervisor or assistant manager, or strong experience as a senior team member ready for the next step.
- Punctual, reliable and well organised.
- Confident managing and developing your own team.
- Hands-on and comfortable working in a busy, high-volume restaurant.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- A passion for hospitality and making guests feel welcome.
- Availability to work evenings and weekends.
- Basic wine and beverage knowledge.
- Passionate about hospitality and delivering excellent service.
