The role n

We're looking for an experienced Training Officer to join our team Health, Safety and Training team and support the delivery and coordination of underground training and competency programs across site.

n

As the Training Officer, you will provide support to the business and our employees by:

n

n
- Assist in the development, delivery and assessment of underground training and competency programs.
n
- Conduct on-the-job training and competency assessments in line with the site Training Needs Analysis.
n
- Maintain accurate training records and Learning Management System (LMS) requirements.
n
- Manage Permits to Train and monitor progression through to competency sign-off.
n
- Work closely with supervisors to ensure crews are trained and authorised for allocated tasks.
n
- Ensure training materials and assessments remain current and aligned with legislation, codes of practice and site procedures.
n
- Provide practical and technical support to operations when required.
n
- Assist with pre-starts,



toolbox talks and training-related meetings as required.
n
- Support continuous improvement of site training systems and processes.
n

You’ll succeed if you have nn
- Demonstrated underground mining and training experience.
n
- Relevant training and assessment qualifications.
n
- Strong knowledge of underground mining equipment, practices and competencies.
n
- Excellent communication, coaching and mentoring skills.
n
- A practical and adaptable approach.
n
- The ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively across different roles and departments; and a willingness to remain hands‑on and assist operations when required.
