We are currently seeking an experienced PM shift supervisor to join our busy Dandenong Depot .

Reporting directly to the Depot Manager, this is a hands-on leadership role responsible for coordinating the safe and efficient movement of freight throughout the depot. You will oversee daily loading and unloading operations, supervise freight movements, support drivers, and ensure customer service expectations and operational deadlines are consistently achieved.

This position is ideally suited to someone with strong transport operations experience who enjoys leading by example and thrives in a fast-paced logistics environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Coordinate daily loading and unloading activities for PUD vehicles, country linehaul trailers and external freight providers.
- Supervise depot activities to ensure freight is processed accurately and on schedule.
- Ensure all loading, delivery and customer service timeframes are achieved.




- Promote and maintain a strong safety culture throughout the depot.
- Ensure compliance with Chain of Responsibility (CoR), workplace safety requirements and company procedures.
- Monitor freight movement and proactively manage service issues, shortages, damages and exceptions.
- Liaise closely with drivers, customers, supervisors and management to ensure smooth operational outcomes.
- Provide daily operational reporting and communicate key issues to stakeholders.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives that enhance safety, efficiency and service performance.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

- Previous supervisory experience within a transport, freight, logistics, distribution or 3PL environment.
- Strong forklift operating experience and commitment to safe work practices.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and support team members.
- Robust computer skills, including Microsoft Office and transport management systems.
- Sound understanding of Melbourne metropolitan and Victorian regional freight networks.
- Exceptional organisational and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Current HR Licence as a minimum (HC or MC Licence highly regarded).
