Our Craigieburn centre is an innovative, nature-based Long Day Care and Kindergarten service with beautiful, purpose-designed environments and a holistic approach to children's learning and development.

We're looking for an experienced and passionate Lead Educator to guide an engaging educational program and help bring together a growing team of educators who share our commitment to quality care.

About the role

As Lead Educator at Craigieburn, you'll take the lead on planning, implementing and evaluating educational programs aligned with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and the National Quality Framework. You'll mentor and guide educators within your room — helping to embed consistent, reflective and inclusive practice as our team and service continue to grow — while building genuine, trusting relationships with children and families.

Your key responsibilities will include:

- Leading the planning, implementation and evaluation of a play-based educational program responsive to children's ideas, strengths and abilities

- Supporting each child to develop a strong sense of identity, connection, wellbeing, confidence and communication skills

- Mentoring and guiding educators and students/volunteers within the room, helping establish consistent, high-quality practice in a growing team

- Building warm, cooperative relationships with children, new families and the Craigieburn community

- Promoting and maintaining a safe, healthy and hygienic environment for children at all times





- Championing child safety and wellbeing as a priority from day one, in line with Child Safe Standards and mandatory reporting obligations

- Contributing to shaping a positive, reflective team culture that upholds the values and philosophy of the service

About you

You're an early childhood professional who leads with warmth, curiosity and a genuine belief in the value of play-based, nature-inspired learning — and you're excited by the opportunity to help shape a growing centre. You'll bring:

- A Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care (or equivalent), or Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care (or equivalent)

- Previous experience in a leadership role

- Demonstrated knowledge of the EYLF, Education and Care Services National Law (2010), National Regulations (2011) and Family Assistance Law (Child Care Subsidy)

- Current Provide an Emergency First Aid Response in an Education and Care Setting qualification

- Current ACECQA-approved Anaphylaxis and emergency Asthma Management training

- A valid Working with Children Check and current National Police Check
