Culcairn Multi-Purpose Service is seeking a Registered Nurse to join its Emergency Department on a 12-week contract basis, starting 4 November 2026. This rural healthcare service delivers essential emergency care to its community, and the successful candidate will play a key role in managing presentations, conducting triage, and leading the department when in charge. Based in Culcairn, NSW, this is an opportunity to make a direct impact in a close-knit healthcare setting.

- Manage emergency presentations and lead triage in a rural healthcare setting
- Take charge of the department and coordinate patient care during shifts
- 12-week contract from 4 November 2026 to 27 January 2027

Preferred Requirements

- Demonstrated experience working in an emergency department setting




- Proven competence in triage assessment and patient prioritisation
- Experience in an in-charge or leadership capacity within an ED
- Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to coordinate care and communicate effectively with the broader healthcare team

Preferred Qualifications

- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse in Australia
- Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification or willingness to obtain
- Post-graduate qualification in Emergency Nursing or equivalent clinical experience in ED settings
