We are now seeking an experienced Mine Services Technician to join our wider Projects and Infrastructureteam at the Tropicana Gold Mine for a 6 month fixed term contract.

Reporting to the Water Management and Infrastructure Supervisor, the purpose of this role is to provide support to the multidisciplinary Dewatering and Services team to ensure reliable, efficient, and sustainable operations. The position will be offered on an 8 days on/6 days off FIFO roster from Perth and/or Kalgoorlie.

About the Role





- Daily installation and removal of in-pit sump pumps as required for site operations
- Pipe welding, and dewatering/pump infrastructure installation and relocation
- Minor maintenance to fabricate, repair, and relocate new and existing Polyethylene pipe of various sizes using butt welding and electrofusion techniques
- Monitor and maintain the dewatering systems, including but not limited to dams, standpipes, diesel pumps, tanks, and in-pit pumping stations
- Daily inspections, record keeping, and maintenance
- Organisation of consumables
- Inspection, escort, and monitoring of mining operations contractors
- Liaise with various stakeholders to optimise water flows
- Operation of ancillary equipment within the mining area
- Data entry and maintenance of relevant records

About You

People are at the heart of everything we do. We want you to collaborate with us, share your ideas and feel confident to challenge the status quo. You’ll bring a robust mix of technical know-how and practical experience to the team. To be considered, you should have:

- Trade qualified in a related field (Fitter, Boilermaker, Mechanical, Plumber), or willing to consider other relevant qualifications
- Be a self-starter with a dedicated commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork
- Excellent problem-solving, people, and communication skills
- Previous experience with mining dewatering and diesel pump equipment is preferred
- HDPE welding experience (butt welding and extrusion welding)
- Knowledge of SAP systems desirable
- Basic computer and software skills
- C Class Driver’s Licence, with an HR licence being highly advantageous
- National Police Clearance
- Permanent work rights in Australia
