Working alongside the Location Manager and wider management team, you'll play an important role in the daily operations and continued development of Premier Funerals. This is a varied position combining funeral arranging and conducting, staff supervision, operational responsibilities and business development.

Key responsibilities

- Arranging and conducting funerals, providing compassionate and professional support to families
- Supporting, mentoring and supervising staff in their daily duties
- Working with the Location Manager to coordinate daily operations and maintain high service standards
- Managing the operational requirements of Department of Justice contracts, ensuring contractual obligations and service standards are met
- Building relationships within the local community and identifying opportunities to promote and grow Premier Funerals
- Contributing to business development and improvements across operations
- Participating in a rotating after-hours on-call roster

About you

- Previous experience working in the funeral industry is essential, minimum 2 years
- Experience in a supervisory or management role




- Demonstrated experience arranging and conducting funerals
- Solid communication and people management skills
- Good organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
- The ability to work collaboratively with an existing management team
- A professional, compassionate and respectful approach when dealing with families
- A willingness to participate in after-hours roster
