About the role

Tree Worker position involving safely cutting, trimming, and removing trees, shrubs, and vegetation from worksites. The role includes operating mulchers and related machinery to process green waste, driving and operating heavy vehicles to transport and dispose of materials, and preparing land by removing vegetation, roots, and debris for civil works or construction.

Key responsibilities

- Safely cut, trim, and remove trees, shrubs, and vegetation from worksites in line with project scope of works
- Operate mulchers and related machinery to process green waste and recycle vegetation materials
- Drive and operate trucks,



loaders, and other heavy vehicles to transport and dispose of green waste, mulch, and equipment
- Prepare and clear land by removing vegetation, roots, and debris to make sites ready for civil works or construction
- Perform routine checks and basic maintenance on chainsaws, mulchers, and heavy vehicles to ensure safe and reliable operation
- Follow workplace health and safety procedures, including traffic management and PPE requirements
- Assist in urgent tree and vegetation clearance following storms or hazardous conditions
- Work closely with site supervisors, machine operators, and crew members to complete tasks efficiently and safely

About you

- Skilled in operating mulchers, chainsaws, and heavy vehicles such as trucks and loaders
- Understanding of secure tree and shrub removal methods and vegetation recycling practices
- High stamina, strength, and coordination to perform demanding outdoor tasks
- Strong awareness of safety standards, traffic management, and hazard identification on worksites
- Ability to assess risks, make safe decisions, and adapt to changing site conditions
- Explicit communication skills for coordinating with team members and site supervisors
- Preferred: White Card, Heavy Vehicle Licence, Chainsaw Operation Certificate, First Aid certification, and working at heights ticket
