About the Role

As a Horticulturist at Greenevent, you will be responsible for maintaining the health, presentation and overall standard of gardens across a diverse range of commercial properties.

This is a hands‑on position suited to someone who takes pride in their work, has a sound understanding of horticulture and enjoys working across different sites and environments.

Your main responsibilities will include:

- General garden maintenance across high-profile commercial properties and hospitality venues throughout Melbourne.

- Plant health management, including pruning, fertilising, pest and disease identification and treatment.

- Planting, soil improvement and general horticultural works.

- Irrigation operation, maintenance and minor repairs.

- Hedge trimming, weed management, mowing, edging and brush cutting.

- Identifying opportunities to improve the presentation and condition of gardens.

- Communicating with clients and reporting maintenance requirements.

- Working independently and as part of a team to maintain high presentation standards.

- Monday to Friday working week, generally 6:30 am to 3:00 pm.

About You

We are looking for someone who is reliable, motivated and takes genuine pride in maintaining gardens to a high standard.

To be considered for this position, you will ideally have:

- Certificate III or IV in Horticulture.

- Previous experience in landscape maintenance, preferably within commercial environments.

- Sound knowledge of plants, horticultural practices and garden maintenance.

- Experience operating commercial gardening equipment.

- The ability to work independently and contribute positively to a team.

- Positive communication skills and a professional approach when working on client properties.

- A strong work ethic, attention to detail and willingness to take responsibility for your work.

- Australian working rights.

Additional licences, qualifications and industry tickets will be viewed favourably.
