Job Advertisement – Chef The Front Page Café – South Plympton, South Australia Full Time Position Base Salary :$75,000 to $80,000 The Front Page Café, a well-loved local eatery in South Plympton known for its vibrant atmosphere and fresh, hearty meals, is looking for a qualified Chef to join their friendly and professional team on a full-time basis. The Front Page Cafe are seeking a motivated individual who is passionate about food and thrives in a quick-paced kitchen environment. The ideal candidate will be involved in all aspects of kitchen operations, from food preparation to menu planning.

Key Responsibilities:

- Prepare and cook a range of dishes to a consistently high standard
- Contribute to menu development and assist in estimating food and labour costs
- Maintain hygiene standards and ensure food safety regulations are followed at all times
- Supervise kitchen staff,



provide guidance, and assist with training as required
- Manage stock levels and coordinate ordering of food supplies
- Work closely with Head chef and front-of-house staff to ensure smooth kitchen operations
- Ensure proper storage and preservation of food items, including freezing where appropriate
- Offer input into improving kitchen procedures and food presentation

Requirements:

- Minimum of 1 to 2 years' experience as a chef
- AQF Associate Degree or Advanced Diploma or Diploma in Commercial Cookery or equivalent
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- A strong team player with a passion for quality food and customer satisfaction
