Fence World is looking for a reliable, professional Truck Driver to collect stock from suppliers and deliver fencing materials to trade and residential customers across South East Queensland.
About the role
We're looking for a full-time Truck Driver to join our close-knit team. You'll be a key part of getting our customers what they need, when they need it.
Based in Caboolture, you'll deliver fencing materials across South East Queensland on day trips only – no long haul overnighters.
Monday – Friday shift times variable between 5:30am – 5pm. Every third Saturday 8am-12pm in our yard assisting on the forklift with loading for customers and order picking.
Immediate start due to upcoming staff absences.
THE ROLE
- Deliver fencing materials (Timber, colorbond, glass, chain wire, aluminium, gates, hardware) across SEQ typically between Gympie to Gold Coast - although some further trips as required)
- Collect stock from suppliers and check it against purchase orders
- Call customers before delivery to confirm address, timing and site access
- Load and unload using forklift and Hiab
- Check items off at pickup and delivery, and get customer sign-off
- Use a tablet/computer for delivery runs and job updates, proof of delivery
- Daily pre-start checks and keeping the truck clean and maintained
- Help in the yard & counter sales when not on the road, plus a 1-in-3 Saturday yard shift
YOU’LL NEED
- Current HR licence with a clean driving record
- Forklift licence (LF)
- Hiab / vehicle loading crane experience [CV ticket required / highly regarded]
- Strong attention to detail and computer skills
- Qualified presentation and good communication skills
- Availability for the 1-in-3 Saturday rotation
- Fencing, building supplies or steel delivery experience a bonus
WHAT WE OFFER
- $35+ per hour plus super (negotiable, depending on experience)
- Full-time, permanent role – Monday to Friday (variable hours) plus 1-in-3 Saturdays
