Functions and Hospitality Supervisor - Full Time Position

Are you an experienced hospitality professional looking for a varied role where you can take ownership, show initiative and be part of a great team?

The Brisbane Golf Club is seeking a motivated, organised and hands-on Functions & Hospitality Supervisor to assist with the day-to-day running of our hospitality and functions operations.

We're looking for someone who can work closely with management, take responsibility when required and help ensure everything runs smoothly, whether that's coordinating a wedding, managing a function or serving our members and guests in the bar and kiosk.

The Brisbane Golf Club

The Brisbane Golf Club was established in 1896 and is ranked in the top 100 golf course in Australia. We are the third oldest golf club in Queensland and located in Yeerongpilly just 10 minutes from the Brisbane CBD. We are home to just over 1,700 Members.

Our hospitality facilities include a Member's Lounge, Halfway House, and indoor and outdoor event areas including the Tennyson Room and Jacaranda Gardens. In the current financial year 25 weddings and 30 corporate golf days will be held at the Club.

About the Role

This is a full time, hands-on position offering a great mix of functions coordination, customer service and everyday hospitality operations.

You’ll play an important role in supporting the day-to-day running of the business, helping manage enquiries and bookings,



and taking the lead on weddings and functions when required. During quieter periods, you’ll work alongside the team in the bar and kiosk.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist with the daily running of hospitality and functions operations.
- Manage function and wedding enquiries, client communication and follow-ups.
- Coordinate and oversee weddings, functions and special events.
- Confidently run functions when management is unavailable.
- Liaise with clients, suppliers and team members to ensure events run smoothly.
- Work hands-on in the bar and kiosk during quieter periods.
- Provide friendly, professional service to members, guests and visitors.
- Assist with stock control, setup, service and general operational duties.
- Maintain high standards of presentation, service and cleanliness.

About You

- Has experience in hospitality, functions, events or a similar role.
- Is organised, reliable and able to manage competing priorities.
- Is confident working independently and taking responsibility.
- Has excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Is practical, proactive and comfortable making decisions.
- Is happy to roll up their sleeves and help wherever needed.
- Enjoys working as part of a team and building positive relationships.
- Is available to work a flexible roster, including weekends and some evenings.
- A current Queensland RSA and previous bar service experience are desirable. Experience coordinating weddings and functions will be highly regarded.
