Retail Maintenance Technician - 6 Month Fixed Term Contract

Location: Base location is Camberwell - role is mobile supporting store network

Hours of Work – standard 5 days per week (Mon-Fri), however some weekend and after-hours work may be required.

We are seeking a handyperson/maintenance professional to support our retail leadership team in delivering daily maintenance support to our store network. Working closely with the Retail Operations Manager and our café leaders you will be responsive to everything needed to ensure our stores are operational and safe. Ideally, you will have an electrical or plumbing trade qualification.

About the Role

This is a hands-on, in-store role which does have some after hours and weekend requirements should a store need immediate assistance.

Tomaintainourexceptionalproduct standards and continued smooth running of our head office and retail sites, we are looking for an outstanding and experienced Handyperson/Maintenance Technician.



The role may also support our manufacturing maintenance team when necessary. If you have skills and experience as an electrician, plumber or carpenter we'd like to talk to you!

Key Responsibilities

Perform assigned day to day repairs, emergency and preventive maintenance across our retail network.

Review assigned work orders daily and update their progress in our Mex system to assist you to plan your day/week and keep track of maintenance requirements

Estimate time and materials needed to complete repairs and orders necessary materials and supplies.

Assists with repairs, installation and mediation of store upgrades when required.

Work collaboratively with the broader Retail Operations team to deliver the necessary daily maintenance support

Ensure the delivery of an exceptional customer experience

Maintain our Mex system to ensure all preventative and BAU maintenance issues are tracked

Respond quickly to emergency situations.

Be available after hours to provide immediate advice.

What you bring:

A trade qualification as an electrician, plumber or carpenter

Basic knowledge and awareness around electrical work

Experience with general repairs and maintenance in a commercial workplace

Computer skills so you can maintain and update Mex

Demonstrated communication skills

Valid Driver’s License
