What it needs from the successful applicant is steady help with the daily running of the kitchen, from preparation and cooking through to coordinating service and keeping the kitchen organised. The position is full time and pays $78,000 - $80,000 per year.

- Take on daily kitchen operations and pre-service preparation alongside the Head Chef
- Produce dishes of high quality, cooked and presented to venue standards
- Keep lunch, dinner and weekend service periods running smoothly
- Deliver the same taste, portion control, presentation and food quality every time
- Lend a hand with food planning, menu preparation and the flow of work in the kitchen
- Keep an eye on wastage, ordering needs, food storage and stock levels




- Make sure food safety requirements are met whenever food is handled, prepared or stored
- Uphold workplace health and safety, hygiene and cleanliness standards
- Guide and support junior members of the kitchen where required, and work hand in hand with front-of-house and kitchen teams so the customer experience is a positive one

- Relevant experience as a Chef or Senior Chef, minimum 2-3 years
- Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or an equivalent qualification
- Strong knowledge of food preparation and of commercial kitchen operations
- The ability to assist the Head Chef with the operational requirements of each day
- The ability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced restaurant and bar setting
- Strong attention to consistency, detail and presentation
- Positive communication skills and good teamwork skills
- A sound understanding of workplace safety, hygiene and food safety standards
- Flexible availability, with evenings, weekends and public holidays included
- A professional, positive and reliable attitude, and Australian work rights that are current at the time of application
