Bonds Transport Group is a national transport business, covering local courier and taxi truck services, interstate transport, and 3PL warehousing. We are looking for a Driver Recruitment Officer to join our growing Brisbane team and work with us in our office, located in the Brisbane Airport suburb, close to DFO.

The role

The main purpose of the role is to ensure that we continously grow our local courier and taxi truck fleet. The majority of the time is spent engaging with potential new drivers (subcontractors), either via phone calls, virtual meetings or face to face meetings in the office. This is an important role for the business, with lots of scope to contribute to business growth and success. The role reports to the Operations Manager for Courier Services and Permanent Hire.

Attract new drivers by managing job ads and follow up on applicants and enquiries.

Interview and screen new potential drivers to determine whether they are a good fit for the business.

Manage the induction and onboarding process for new drivers - to set them up for success.





Manage a broad range of administrative tasks relating to the general management of the fleet.

About you

You preferably have minimum 2 years of transport experience - perhaps in customer service, allocation or general fleet management. Perhaps you even have experience as a driver.

Ideally, you have some exposure to recruitment of owner drivers and subcontractor management. Maybe you are in a similar role but looking for a positive change.

You enjoy engaging and collaborating with others, and you thrive in an environment where you can take initiative and work proactively with minimum supervision (no micro management here).

You have great organisational and administrative skills, with a keen eye for details.

You have a high level of self-confidence and the drive to succeed in a fast-paced environment where no day is the same.
