Store Manager – Switched On Electronics Yarrawonga

We’re looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Store Manager to lead our brand-new Switched On Electronics store in Yarrawonga!

As Store Manager, you'll be responsible for overseeing daily operations, driving sales performance, leading and developing a passionate team, and delivering exceptional customer service.

You'll play a key role in growing our Telstra and electronics retail business, ensuring high standards of customer satisfaction, operational efficiency and compliance.

We're looking for a hands-on leader who takes ownership, leads by example and thrives in a fast-paced retail environment. You'll have the opportunity to build a strong team, establish lasting community relationships and make a real impact as part of a growing regional business.

Store Manager – Key Responsibilities

Store Leadership: Take ownership of the day-to-day operations of our Yarrawonga store, ensuring a professional, welcoming and high-performing retail environment.

Sales & Performance: Drive store sales, Telstra performance and profitability through clear targets, proactive selling and excellent customer service.

Team Development: Lead, motivate and coach your team through regular feedback, on-floor coaching, training and performance reviews.

Customer Experience: Deliver outstanding customer service, with particular attention to older, vulnerable and less technologically confident customers.

Telstra Operations:



Maintain strong knowledge of Telstra products, services, systems and procedures, ensuring compliance with all relevant requirements.

Retail Operations: Oversee stock management, merchandising, electronics sales, store presentation and general operational efficiency.

Community Engagement: Build relationships with local customers, businesses and community organisations, representing Switched On Electronics throughout Yarrawonga and surrounding areas.

Reporting & Accountability: Monitor key performance indicators, identify opportunities for improvement and communicate regularly with senior management.

Lead by Example: Be a hands-on leader who actively supports customers and works alongside the team.

Take Ownership: Treat the store's performance, presentation and customer experience as your responsibility.

Be Results-Driven: Consistently work towards sales targets, customer satisfaction goals and operational KPIs.

Develop Your People: Build a positive team culture where employees receive regular coaching, recognition and opportunities to grow.

Maintain High Standards: Demonstrate professionalism, integrity and attention to detail, particularly around Telstra compliance and customer information.

Be Community-Focused: Develop genuine relationships within the Yarrawonga/Mulwala community and uphold Switched On's reputation for going above and beyond.

Communicate Effectively: Maintain open communication with the Director and wider management team, raising challenges early and contributing solutions.

Show Initiative: Identify opportunities to improve the store, customer experience and business performance without needing constant direction.
