- Produce meals that meet the high standard the kitchen sets
- Deliver the same quality, portion control and presentation on each order
- Comply with food safety and hygiene requirements, including the cleaning schedule
- Support stock control by assisting with orders and rotating stock




- Maintain an orderly, clean and safe working kitchen
- Reduce wastage and contribute to efficient day-to-day kitchen operations
- Collaborate with colleagues during busy periods and assist with preparation and service where needed

- Prior employment as a cook or as a chef
- A good working understanding of food safety and kitchen operations
- Able to prepare meals of consistently high quality
- Reliability, together with the ability to perform under pressure
- Good communication skills and a team-minded approach
- A positive attitude backed by a strong work ethic
- Willingness to live and work in the local area
- Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery preferred; the employer may consider relevant experience instead of formal qualifications. Food Safety Certificate preferred
- Completion of a pre-employment medical, which includes a drug and alcohol test
