We are looking for a keen, hands-on Sydney based Accountant who will thrive in a small practice environment. This role would ideally suit an undergraduate almost finished their accounting degree or a recent graduate commencing or about to commence the CA or CPA program. Minimum 2 years experience working in tax at a small-med public accounting practice. This role offers an opportunity to learn from experienced long term professionals as mentors and to also work with a portfolio of diverse clients from different industries. You will be welcomed to a position with clear processes in a traditional but robust public practice.

IMMEDIATE START

Key responsibilities

Prepare financial statements, income tax returns, and BAS/IAS for Companies, Trusts, Partnerships and Individuals/Sole Traders.

Complete accounting, tax and compliance actions for self-managed super fund clients (basic level minimum)

Utilise MYOB AE / AELedger/ Client Accounting, work with client Xero and MYOB files. Experience with Class Super or BGL Simple Fund 360 will be an advantage.

About you

Must be based in Sydney (no interstate/overseas)

2 years of solid public practice experience IN small practice TAX within an Australian accounting firm

Undertaking Australian Accounting degree, or part way through, having started or intend to commence CA/CPA program.





Practical competency using general accounting software – experience with MYOBAE, MYOB, Xero vital with BGLSF360 beneficial

Friendly personality, well presented, clear & polite with confident written and verbal communication skills.

Punctual professional and reliable

Ability to communicate with clients and manage relationships independently and confidently.
