About the role
Our main office is currently looking for an COMMITTED bookkeeper/assistant accountant for a full-time. This is a role that reports directly to Managing Partner. We are looking for someone to start as soon as possible who has 3-4 year experience in an accounting practice environment. Necessary training and hand over will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Accounts Receivable
- Accounts Payable
- Payroll management for clients
- Ad Hoc Clients reporting and queries
- Preparation of Business Activity Statements (BAS)
- Assisting in preparation of Tax Returns for companies and Individuals
- Assisting in the Preparation of analytical reports guided by the manager
- SMSF Tax Returns Preparation on BGL
- Involve in ad-hoc projects when required
- Identify needs and opportunities for process improvements
- General office administration functions
- Working on Xero, Xero Tax and QuickBooks
- Co-ordination with clients
- Flexible and Friendly Work Setting
About you
To be successful in this role you will need to have
- Previous 3-4 years experience in an accounting and tax practiceis MUST
- Accounting Degree
- Xero-QuickBooks experience MUST MUST!!
- Preferred to have knowledge of BGL
- Good knowledge of debits and credits
- High attention to detail
- Well self-organized with an ability to multi task
- Clear communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Want to follow a career in finance or accounting
- Intermediate to Advanced computer literacy and understanding of Microsoft Office suite ( Excel & Word skills highly desirable) MUST
