Senior Project Engineer - Water Infrastructure

Central Queensland | 2/1 FIFO | Immediate Start | Contract to Year-End | Market Daily Rate

We're currently seeking an experienced Senior Project Engineer to join a leading civil contractor and oversee the final stage of delivery of a major water pipeline upgrade in Central Queensland.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Civil Engineer who has a strong background in pipeline construction and is looking to step into a key delivery role on a major infrastructure project.

The Opportunity

Working on a 2/1 FIFO roster, you'll play a key role in driving the project through its final stages, working closely with the Project Manager, Site Team, subcontractors and client to ensure the works are delivered safely, efficiently and to program.

The role is an immediate start, running through to the end of 2026, with an above-market day rate available for the right person.

Key Responsibilities

- Oversee all day-to-day project engineering activities
- Provide technical and engineering support across the project
- Manage and coordinate subcontractors and site teams
- Assist with planning, programming and project delivery
- Manage ITPs, QA documentation, inspections and technical queries
- Review drawings, specifications and construction methodologies
- Monitor progress, costs and project performance
- Coordinate with the client,



consultants and project stakeholders
- Ensure works are delivered in accordance with project specifications, safety requirements and program
- Drive the successful completion and handover of the pipeline upgrade

About You

We're looking to speak with Civil Engineers with 10+ years post-graduate experience who have a proven track record delivering pipeline construction projects for a civil contractor.

- Civil Engineering degree or equivalent
- 10+ years post-graduate experience
- Proven experience delivering water pipeline or major pipeline construction projects
- Robust civil construction background with a contractor
- Demonstrated ability to manage engineering and technical delivery on site
- Strong subcontractor and stakeholder management skills
- Excellent understanding of QA, ITPs, construction methodologies and project controls
- Ability to work effectively on a FIFO 2/1 roster
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
