We are partnering with a leading ASX listing company to appoint a Legal Counsel. This is a rare opportunity to transition into a broad, business facing role where your advice will directly shape commercial outcomes and support development of innovative products. Headquartered in Melbourne, this organisation’s high performing legal team supports complex corporate and strategic transactions across multiple jurisdictions to support the organisation achieve its goals of bringing life-changing therapies to market.

A highly sought after opportunity exists to join our client as Legal Counsel and play a significant role in meeting the legal demands of this complex, unique organisation. Working closely with senior lawyers in a high performing legal team, as well as other key stakeholders across the business, this role represents an exciting prospect to support major corporate transactions, provide commercially focused legal advice, draft and negotiate a variety of complex contracts,



and ongoing corporate governance in a highly regulated, cross-border environment.

Ideally, you will offer at least 5 years’ corporate/M&A; and/or capital markets experience gained from a reputable law firm or in-house environment. Prior experience working directly with pharmaceutical, biotechnology, research and development, or clinical research organisations will be viewed favourably.

The role suits a self-starter who can deliver workable solutions within a fast moving, complex and diverse environment. Your technical capability is balanced by a responsive, pragmatic, outcomes focused approach.

You will have a proven track record in developing and building relationships with a range of stakeholders. You are accountable, strategic and collaborative and capable of communicating in a clear and concise manner.
