Invisible Orthodontics is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dental/Orthodontic Assistant to join our team in Parrearra, QLD. This is a part-time position that offers flexibility whilst contributing meaningfully to our patient care operations. As a Dental/Orthodontic Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our clinical team and ensuring exceptional patient experiences. You will work alongside experienced dental professionals to deliver high-quality orthodontic care in a modern, patient-centred environment.

What you'll be doing

- Assisting dentists and orthodontists during clinical procedures and patient appointments
- Preparing treatment rooms and sterilising instruments in accordance with infection control protocols
- Taking and processing dental radiographs (X-rays) as required
- Recording patient medical and dental histories accurately and maintaining detailed clinical notes
- Providing chairside support during orthodontic treatments, including bracket placement and adjustment
- Educating patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care instructions
- Managing patient scheduling and appointment coordination
- Handling administrative tasks including billing, insurance claims and patient correspondence
- Maintaining a clean, organised and welcoming clinical setting
- Supporting the practice team to ensure smooth daily operations

What we’re looking for

- Formal qualifications in dental assisting or orthodontic assisting from an accredited institution
- Current registration or eligibility for registration with the Dental Board of Australia
- Proven experience working as a dental or orthodontic assistant in a clinical setting
- Strong knowledge of infection control and sterilisation procedures




- Proficiency in dental practice management software and general computer skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with patients and team members
- Attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate clinical and administrative records
- A caring, empathetic approach to patient care and a commitment to patient confidentiality
- The ability to work flexibly within a part-time schedule
- Current First Aid certification (preferred)
